Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 2

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ

These are the Verses of the Clarifying Book.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 3

لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ

Perhaps you will destroy yourself with grief, because they do not become believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 4

إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةًۭ فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ

If We will, We can send down upon them a sign from heaven, at which their necks will stay bent in humility.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 5

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ

No fresh reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful, but they turn their backs at it.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 6

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

They have denied the truth, but soon will come to them the news of what they ridiculed.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 7

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ

Have they not seen the earth, and how many beautiful pairs We produced therein?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 8

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 9

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Most surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 10

وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Your Lord called to Moses, "Go to the tyrannical people.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 11

قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ

The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 12

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ

He said, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 13

وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ

And I become stressed, and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron too.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 14

وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌۭ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ

And they have a charge against me, so I fear they will kill me."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 15

قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ

He said, "No. Go, both of you, with Our proofs. We will be with you, listening.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 16

فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Go to Pharaoh, and say, 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 17

أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

Let the Children of Israel go with us.'"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 18

قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًۭا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ

He said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed among us for many of your years?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 19

وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

And you committed that deed you committed, and you were ungrateful."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 20

قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًۭا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

He said, "I did it then, when I was of those astray.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 21

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًۭا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

And I fled from you when I feared you; but my Lord gave me wisdom, and made me one of the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 22

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌۭ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

Is that the favor you taunt me with, although you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 23

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Pharaoh said, "And what is the Lord of the Worlds?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 24

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ

He said, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, if you are aware."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 25

قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ

He said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 26

قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

He said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of old."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 27

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ

He said, "This messenger of yours, who is sent to you, is crazy."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 28

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

He said, "Lord of the East and the West, and everything between them, if you understand."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 29

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ

He said, "If you accept any god other than me, I will make you a prisoner."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 30

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

He said, "What if I bring you something convincing?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 31

قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

He said, "Bring it, if you are being truthful."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 32

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

So he cast his staff; and it was a serpent, plain to see.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 33

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ

And he pulled his hand; and it was white, for all to see.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 34

قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

He said to the dignitaries around him, "This is a skilled magician.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 35

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ

He intends to drive you out of your land with his magic, so what do you recommend?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 36

قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

They said, "Delay him and his brother, and send recruiters to the cities.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 37

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍۢ

To bring you every experienced magician."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 38

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ

So the magicians were gathered for the appointment on a specified day.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 39

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ

And it was said to the people, "Are you all gathered?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 40

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

That we may follow the magicians, if they are the winners."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 41

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

When the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there a reward for us, if we are the winners?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 42

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

He said, "Yes, and you will be among those favored."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 43

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ

Moses said to them, "Present what you intend to present."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 44

فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

So they threw their ropes and their sticks, and said, "By the majesty of Pharaoh, we will be the winners."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 45

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

Then Moses threw his staff, and behold, it began swallowing their trickery.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 46

فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

And the magicians fell down prostrating.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 47

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 48

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 49

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍۢ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

He said, "Did you believe in Him before I have given you permission? He must be your chief, who taught you magic. You will soon know. I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 50

قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ

They said, "No problem. To our Lord we will return.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 51

إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

We are eager for our Lord to forgive us our sins, since we are the first of the believers."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 52

۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ

And We inspired Moses: "Travel with My servants by night. You will be followed."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 53

فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 54

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌۭ قَلِيلُونَ

"These are a small gang.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 55

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ

And they are enraging us.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 56

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ

But we are a vigilant multitude."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 57

فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ

So We drove them out of gardens and springs.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 58

وَكُنُوزٍۢ وَمَقَامٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ

And treasures and noble dwellings.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 59

كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

So it was. And We made the Children of Israel inherit them.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 60

فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ

And they pursued them at sunrise.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 61

فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ

When the two groups sighted each other, the followers of Moses said, "We are being overtaken."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 62

قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ

He said, "No; my Lord is with me, He will guide me."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 63

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍۢ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

We inspired Moses: "Strike the sea with your staff." Whereupon it parted, and each part was like a huge hill.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 64

وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

And there We brought the others near.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 65

وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 66

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

Then We drowned the others.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 67

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

In that there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 68

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 69

وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

And relate to them the story of Abraham.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 70

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ

When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 71

قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًۭا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ

They said, "We worship idols, and we remain devoted to them."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 72

قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ

He said, "Do they hear you when you pray?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 73

أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ

Or do they benefit you, or harm you?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 74

قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

They said, "But we found our ancestors doing so."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 75

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

He said, "Have you considered what you worship.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 76

أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ

You and your ancient ancestors?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 77

فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

They are enemies to me, but not so the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 78

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ

He who created me, and guides me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 79

وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ

He who feeds me, and waters me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 80

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

And when I get sick, He heals me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 81

وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ

He who makes me die, and then revives me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 82

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

He who, I hope, will forgive my sins on the Day of the Reckoning."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 83

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًۭا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

"My Lord! Grant me wisdom, and include me with the righteous.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 84

وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍۢ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

And give me a reputation of truth among the others.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 85

وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

And make me of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 86

وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

And forgive my father-he was one of the misguided.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 87

وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ

And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 88

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌۭ وَلَا بَنُونَ

The Day when neither wealth nor children will help.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 89

إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍۢ

Except for him who comes to God with a sound heart."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 90

وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

And Paradise will be brought near for the righteous.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 91

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ

And the Blaze will be displayed to the deviators.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 92

وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 93

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ

Besides God? Can they help you, or help themselves?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 94

فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ

Then they will be toppled into it, together with the seducers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 95

وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ

And the soldiers of Satan, all of them.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 96

قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ

They will say, as they feud in it.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 97

تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

"By God, We were in evident error.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 98

إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

For equating you with the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 99

وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

No one misled us except the sinners.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 100

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ

Now we have no intercessors.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 101

وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍۢ

And no sincere friend.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 102

فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةًۭ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

If only we could have another chance, we would be among the faithful."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 103

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 104

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 105

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

The people of Noah disbelieved the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 106

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Their brother Noah said to them, "Do you not fear?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 107

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

I am to you a faithful messenger.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 108

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 109

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 110

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 111

۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ

They said, "Shall we believe in you, when it is the lowliest who follow you?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 112

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

He said, "What do I know about what they do?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 113

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ

Their account rests only with my Lord, if you have sense.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 114

وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

And I am not about to drive away the believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 115

إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

I am only a clear warner."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 116

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ

They said, "If you do not refrain, O Noah, you will be stoned."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 117

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ

He said, "My Lord, my people have denied me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 118

فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

So judge between me and them decisively, and deliver me and the believers who are with me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 119

فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ

So We delivered him and those with him in the laden Ark.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 120

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ

Then We drowned the rest.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 121

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

In that is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 122

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 123

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Aad disbelieved the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 124

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

When their brother Hud said to them, "Do you not fear?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 125

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

I am to you a faithful messenger.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 126

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 127

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 128

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةًۭ تَعْبَثُونَ

Do you build a monument on every height for vanity's sake?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 129

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ

And you set up fortresses, hoping to live forever?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 130

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ

And when you strike, you strike mercilessly?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 131

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 132

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ

And reverence Him, who supplied you with everything you know.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 133

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍۢ وَبَنِينَ

He supplied you with livestock and children.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 134

وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍ

And gardens and springs.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 135

إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

I fear for you the punishment of an awesome Day."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 136

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ

They said, "It is the same for us, whether you lecture us, or do not lecture.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 137

إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

This is nothing but morals of the ancients.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 138

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

And we will not be punished."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 139

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

So they denied him, and We destroyed them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 140

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 141

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Thamood disbelieved the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 142

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

When their brother Saleh said to them, "Do you not fear?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 143

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

I am to you a faithful messenger.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 144

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 145

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 146

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ

Will you be left secure in what is here?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 147

فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ

In gardens and springs?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 148

وَزُرُوعٍۢ وَنَخْلٍۢ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌۭ

And fields, and palm-trees whose fruits are delicious?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 149

وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا فَٰرِهِينَ

And you skillfully carve houses in the mountains?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 150

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 151

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

And do not obey the command of the extravagant.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 152

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

Who spread turmoil on earth, and do not reform."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 153

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ

They said, "You are surely one of the bewitched.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 154

مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

You are nothing but a man like us. So bring us a sign, if you are truthful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 155

قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌۭ لَّهَا شِرْبٌۭ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ

He said, "This is a she-camel; she has her turn of drinking, and you have your turn of drinking-on a specified day.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 156

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

And do not touch her with harm, lest the punishment of a great day seizes you."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 157

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ

But they slaughtered her, and became full of remorse.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 158

فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

So the punishment overtook them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 159

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 160

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

The people of Lot disbelieved the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 161

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

When their brother Lot said to them, "Do you not fear?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 162

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

I am to you a faithful messenger.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 163

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 164

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 165

أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Do you approach the males of the world?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 166

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ

And forsake the wives your Lord created for you? Indeed, you are intrusive people."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 167

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ

They said, "Unless you refrain, O Lot, you will be expelled."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 168

قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ

He said, "I certainly deplore your conduct."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 169

رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

"My Lord, save me and my family from what they do."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 170

فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

So We saved him and his family, altogether.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 171

إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

Except for an old woman among those who tarried.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 172

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

Then We destroyed the others.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 173

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًۭا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

And We rained down on them a rain. Dreadful is the rain of those forewarned.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 174

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 175

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 176

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

The People of the Woods disbelieved the messengers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 177

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

When Shuaib said to them, "Do you not fear?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 178

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 179

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear God, and obey me.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 180

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 181

۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ

Give full measure, and do not cheat.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 182

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ

And weigh with accurate scales.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 183

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

And do not defraud people of their belongings, and do not work corruption in the land.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 184

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

And fear Him who created you and the masses of old."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 185

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ

They said, "You are one of those bewitched.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 186

وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

And you are nothing but a man like us; and we think that you are a liar.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 187

فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

So bring down on us pieces from the sky, if you are truthful."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 188

قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

He said, "My Lord is Well Aware of what you do."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 189

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

But they denied him. So the punishment of the day of gloom gripped them. It was the punishment of a great day.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 190

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 191

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 192

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 193

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ

The Honest Spirit came down with it.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 194

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ

Upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 195

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

In a clear Arabic tongue.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 196

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

And it is in the scriptures of the ancients.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 197

أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel recognized it?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 198

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ

Had We revealed it to one of the foreigners.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 199

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ

And he had recited it to them, they still would not have believed in it.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 200

كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Thus We make it pass through the hearts of the guilty.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 201

لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ

They will not believe in it until they witness the painful punishment.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 202

فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

It will come to them suddenly, while they are unaware.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 203

فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ

Then they will say, "Are we given any respite?"

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 204

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

Do they seek to hasten Our punishment?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 205

أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ سِنِينَ

Have you considered: if We let them enjoy themselves for some years.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 206

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ

Then there comes to them what they were promised.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 207

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ

Of what avail to them will be their past enjoyments?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 208

وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ

Never did We destroy a town, but it had warners.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 209

ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

As a reminder-We are never unjust.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 210

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ

It was not the devils that revealed it.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 211

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

It is not in their interests, nor in their power.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 212

إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ

They are barred from hearing.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 213

فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ

So do not pray to another god with God, else you will be of those tormented.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 214

وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ

And warn your close relatives.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 215

وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

And lower your wing to those of the believers who follow you.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 216

فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

And if they disobey you, say, "I am innocent of what you do."

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 217

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

And put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 218

ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

He Who sees you when you rise.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 219

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

And your devotions amidst the worshipers.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 220

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

He is indeed the Hearer, the Aware.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 221

هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ

Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 222

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ

They descend upon every sinful liar.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 223

يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَٰذِبُونَ

They give ear, and most of them are liars.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 224

وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ

And as for the poets-the deviators follow them.

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 225

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍۢ يَهِيمُونَ

Do you not see how they ramble in every style?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 226

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ

And how they say what they do not do?

Surah Ash-Shuara, verse 227

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍۢ يَنقَلِبُونَ

Except for those who believe, and do good deeds, and remember God frequently, and defend themselves after they are wronged. As for those who do wrong, they will know by what overturning they will be overturned.
