Surah At-Takwir, verse 1
إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

When the sun is rolled up.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 2
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ
When the stars are dimmed.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 3
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
When the mountains are set in motion.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 4
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
When the relationships are suspended.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 5
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
When the beasts are gathered.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 6
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
When the oceans are set aflame.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 7
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ
When the souls are paired.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 8
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ
When the girl, buried alive, is asked:

بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ
For what crime was she killed?
Surah At-Takwir, verse 10
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
When the records are made public.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 11
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ
When the sky is peeled away.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 12
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ
When the Fire is set ablaze.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 13
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
When Paradise is brought near.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 14
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ
Each soul will know what it has readied.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 15
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ
I swear by the galaxies.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 16
ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ
Precisely running their courses.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 17
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
And by the night as it recedes.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 18
وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
And by the morn as it breathes.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 19
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ
This is the speech of a noble messenger.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 20
ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ
Endowed with power, eminent with the Lord of the Throne.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 21
مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ
Obeyed and honest.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 22
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ
Your friend is not possessed.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 23
وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
He saw him on the luminous horizon.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 24
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ
And He does not withhold knowledge of the Unseen.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 25
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ
And it is not the word of an accursed devil.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 26
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ
So where are you heading?
Surah At-Takwir, verse 27
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
It is only a Reminder to all mankind.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 28
لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
To whoever of you wills to go straight.
Surah At-Takwir, verse 29
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
But you cannot will, unless God wills-The Lord of the Worlds.
